Highlight Tracks: Highschool Stalker is my personal favourite, although for sheer weirdness (always a good recommendation), The Drugs I Need are right up there in terms of things that shouldn't work but does - male lactation not being a phrase that readily finds itself being included in lyrics. First appearance by Sparklehorse who will be a frequent visitor, awesome cover by Marilyn Manson & a freak-you-out contribution by The Flaming Lips. And the warning I put on the page about not being maiden aunt proof - this one was the reason why. The cunning format for having upbeat stuff first didn't emerge here as the first two tracks were the quietest on the album but it works OK - the lengthy long one at the end was probably the best track on here, but popularity and quality are of course two different things. Back to SrokaSounds The reason for the weird naming convention on files was that as I'd done the other two "testcasts" this is strictly the 3rd SrokaSounds, but it was the first on Bonfire Radio so that's why. I simplified the whole thing later & used dates as the naming convention. |

Spurred on by the awesome podcasting that is part of the Pete Ashton BonfireRadio podcast system - let me introduce SrokaSounds. All shows are about 40mins long and some of them are not maiden-aunt proof. | ||||||||||||||||||||||
