The "bloody hell what happened to the quiet bit" podcast, not a sleigh bell in sight just some retro sounding tunes and a track that has now shot straight into the "play this to make you happy" playlist. And it's a track that came out when I was five!
Highlight Tracks: Got to be "Gloria" by Patti Smith, man that is a track that does it for me on loads of levels, excellent cover of Van Morrison's masterpiece but this version really lives!. Evelyn Harper is exceptionally good as well and Ist(ianity) deserve a wider audience. The ska track was a last minute change as I realised that the track I had used had featured on another podcast recently - no wonder it seemed familar. But Streetlight Manifesto is a good replacement and possibly better than the first choice. And of course, Atilla is always a star. In fact, this is a good podcast!. Spurred on by the awesome podcasting that is part of the Pete Ashton BonfireRadio podcast system - this is SrokaSounds. All shows are about 45mins long and some of them are not maiden-aunt proof. |
